Our Benin Voodoo Festival 2027 tour will bring you to Benin’s biggest annual traditional religion festival. You’ll spend 8 days and 7 nights in Benin, the home of Vodun (aka voodoo). Your time will start in the largest city of Cotonou, where you’ll spend the day visiting important landmarks like the Amazon statue, graffiti wall, fetish market, Ganvie stilt village, and more. You’ll also enjoy the good vibes and fun on the beach. Next, you’ll visit the capital city, Porto Novo, to see the colonial architecture and Afro-Brazilian influence, before moving on to see the professional drum makers and Black River in Adjarra. Then you’ll go to Abomey to visit the palaces and museums of the former Dahomey Kingdom. From there, you’ll go to Ouidah to visit the Temple of Pythons, Sacred Forest slave route, and Door of No Return before the start of the festival. On January 10th, you’ll attend the Voodoo festival activities, including traditional, high-energy music, masked processions, intricate ceremonial costumes, dancing, animal sacrifices, and public worship. Your time in Benin will end at our farewell dinner, where you’ll have one last frolic in Cotonou before preparing for your return home. Join us for a great time in Benin.
